  ASA Savings and Loans Limited, has organised free medical screening for its clients in the Lebanon Business Centre. The Area manager for the area, Mr. Eugene Owusu Biney said the company is serving women in many communities to alleviate poverty by providing them with good health status and also soft loans to equip them. The exercise, according to Mr Biney explains that: “this forms part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to the community and to ensure good health care delivery – this is not the first time this is happening in this community thus, owe them an opportunity to extend alms to the less privileged. He also mentioned that the company has been organising similar events in many parts of the country to ensure that the social and medical life of its clients, which impacts directly on their operations, is improved. Prez opens Nissan’s brand-new state-of-the art assembly plant

  The president, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, has officially opened the brand-new state-of-the art Nissan Navara assembly plant in Tema which has the capacity to produce 11,593 units of vehicles per shift per annum . The plant is the culmination of a journey that began in 2018 when Nissan became the first mover in the country to sign a memorandum of understanding with the government to work towards creating the Ghana Automotive Development Policy. Nissan selected Japan Motors, one of its two long standing distributors in the country, as its licenced assembler in 2020. Work on the 5000 sq. m plant began shortly afterward and today, 17 months later, the plant was officially commissioned by the president as the first Navaras began rolling off the assembly lines.
