ASA Savings and Loans offers free health screening

ASA Savings and Loans Limited, has organised free medical screening for its clients in the Lebanon Business Centre.

The Area manager for the area, Mr. Eugene Owusu Biney said the company is serving women in many communities to alleviate poverty by providing them with good health status and also soft loans to equip them.

The exercise, according to Mr Biney explains that: “this forms part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) to the community and to ensure good health care delivery – this is not the first time this is happening in this community thus, owe them an opportunity to extend alms to the less privileged.

He also mentioned that the company has been organising similar events in many parts of the country to ensure that the social and medical life of its clients, which impacts directly on their operations, is improved.

The Branch manager for Lebanon Business Centre, Mr. Martin Yenuman Weingam entreated other financial companies to offer similar assistance to the needy women of the communities - I believe patrons’ industrious life can be improved with the assistance offered by companies in wide-ranging interventions.

Few clients of ASA Saving and Loans that undergone the screening exercise thanked the company for the kind gesture and a lady expressed her happiness since it afforded her the opportunity to check her medical status for free.

Over 160 customers were screened and were given medicines based on their health status. Areas that were screened are Hepatitis B, Malaria, Sugar level and Breast Cancer examination.
