FBNBank donates to Accra Psychiatric Hospital

June 16, 2018 witnessed a great comfort to the people of Ada-Foah in the Ada East Municipal Assembly of Greater Accra Region with a free National Health Insurance Scheme registration exercise, medical screening and a mobile clinic for the both the young and old. The exercise, which forms part of Okor Waves’ commitment under the leadership of Ms. Catherine Dela Dzivenu, to promote healthy living among residents of Ada East district and its surrounding communities, also featured a soccer gala, aimed at fostering unity in the area. The football gala played among four teams was won by the Ada-Foah Youth Club. Elders of the community were very excited with the support they received in the form of health services and fun games, which gave them hope for the future. He holds a BSc. (Hons) degree in Agricultural Science from the University of Ghana and a diploma in Business Administration from the Institute of Commercial Management in Bournemouth, England. Rex Omar celebrates fathers

Back again virtuoso artiste Rex Omar is preparing to release his next single entitled “ Paapa ” on June 15 ahead of this year’s Father’s Day celebration which falls on Sunday, June 17. The single is a groovy dance version of the song he released in May, 2015 and he co-produced it with ace producer Appietus. According to the hit maker, he decided to release the dance version of “ Paapa ” due to the numerous requests he had received for a danceable version of the catchy song he released as a paean to fathers. Atuu Festival of Arts to unearth talents

Aspiring musicians, writers and movie makers have an opportunity to shoot for fame with the call of entries by the organisers of the Atuu Festival of Arts which climaxes in August. The Joint Committee of Collective Management Organisations (JCCMO) is calling for aspiring songwriters, musicians, poets, play writers, script writers, photographers and film makers aged between 15 – 21 years to send in entries into a competition. The competition is in three categories, Songwriting; Creative Writing which covers drama, poetry and fiction and Sight and Sounds. For the Songwriting category, the songs should be recorded and put on either a CD or pen drive and the lyrics attached. For youngsters interested in the Creative Writing category which covers drama, poetry and fiction the entries should be based on the theme for the festival – “Our Culture, Our Development” and should not be more than 800 words.
