Image
While there is a facelift in the automobile world, Lamborghini Gallardo looks hotter and more theatrical, the design overall is less unified. With no mechanical updates, the car is now less of a threat to Ferrari kind than it ever was. Recently, t he founder of the All-People’s Congress (APC), Hassan Ayariga showed off this flashy Lamborghini Gallardo cars in a post on social media. The pictures alone sent tongues wagging on social media after cruising in town in his vintage vehicle showing that driving one is still a delight – if not as rewarding as being behind the wheel of one of its supercar rivals. Can ‘okadas, aboboyaas’ be a game changer?

Lack of good roads coupled with heavy traffic in most cities had forced a lot of people to look for faster means to transport themselves. What come in handy are okadas (Motorbike) and aboboyaa ( Tricycle) as emergency transport service for quicker meet-time and delivery. With the reckless and lawless behaviour of some okadas and aboboyas riders on the roads of Accra, Kumasi and Takoradi, and even some other towns in Ghana, one is under the impression that they are above the law. They operate as if traffic laws were made for other road users and not them. I recently visited Bolgatanga, the capital of the Upper East Region, close to the border with Burkina Faso, and to my surprise motorist over there seem to obey traffic regulations and driving over there was fun. No reckless counter-crossing or heavy-handed driving. In most parts of the capitals, in Ghana, okadas and aboboyaas compete with heavy-duty trucks, high-capacity vehicles on the highways and even on main road lanes. One...

Top vehicle makers to go all-out to against hackers

Image
With the rise in use of internet for ride-sharing vehicles like Uber, Bolt, Dropyn, Yango and rest, the smarter cars are getting with use of technologies, the more exposed they are to the threats the technological world is struggling to deal with. Also, with some countries getting abreast with self-driving cars technology and all new technology-driven systems that require internet access, vehicles could easily become a target for cybercriminals in Africa and across the world, and companies involved in the automotive industry know this very well. As at now, there are already lots of semi-autonomous vehicles already on the roads that contain in-car computer systems, or electronic control units (ECU), which is responsible for safety functions such as detecting skids, predicting crashes and performing anti-lock braking systems. During the rise of the COVID pandemic in 2020, vehicle makers predicted that cars could become fully autonomous and manufacturers such as BMW have already created s...

These are the motorcycles/machines we look forward to. They might not be perfect, but you’ll remember them for a really very long while. Today, I present  the CB500X from Honda - a motorbike that promises  to ‘wow!’ many with its simplicity after a quick ride in town. Also, let me say that Honda has made the 500X’s appearance very attractive. It’s tall at the front, and it’s got a small, sharp beak and quite a tall windscreen; and also, Honda has kept the bodywork very simple. It’s nice and sober while giving a very good ride.  What can the picture attached to thi...
