Ford acquires Digit, world’s first commercially available humanoid robot

GES, NIC launch basic insurance education initiative for second cycle institutions

In pursuit of increasing insurance penetration in the country, the National Insurance Commission in collaboration with the Ghana Education Service and the Ghana Insurance Awareness Coordinators Group (IACG) launched an educational initiative for second cycle institutions in Accra last week. The initiative, with theme ‘Insurance Awareness among Ghanaians setting the Fundamentals Right’, was attended by students from the Accra Girl’s School, Accra Technical Institute and members from the Security Services – which include the Fire Service and Police. The Basic Insurance Education Initiative is expected to be incorporated into the educational syllabus and create a national educational drive about the benefits of insurance among students in Senior High Schools. IBAG Conference and Exhibition goes to Tamale

The Insurance Brokers Association Ghana (IBAG) will this year hold its 7 th Annual Conference and Exhibition in Tamale, the Northern Regional Capital from March 24 th to March 28 th , 2020. It will be the first time such a large gathering of insurance professionals will converge at the Modern City Hotel, Tamale, to discuss issues confronting the insurance sector. Ghana Re moves international programme to Ho

Insurance and Reinsurance practitioners will converge on the hilly town of Ho, the capital of Volta Region of Ghana, to attend the 14 th edition of Ghana Reinsurance Company’s annual international seminar at the Volta Serene Hotel from February 23 rd to 29 th , 2020. Fifteen African countries are expected to send participants for this educational seminar. Ghana Re, is one of Africa’s largest and most respected reinsurance companies. Over the years, it has gained a reputation of providing insurance practitioners with a forum to meet and discuss practical and technical issues that will improve the capacity of the continent’s insurance industry as part of its technical support and practical consideration within the African context.
