Therestella is Young Female Achiever at the 5th Ghana Pharma Awards

Passionate about the educational welfare of children of school going age, the 33-year-old female certified pharmacist, who doubles as health educator has established child welfare foundation which seeks to educate them [school children] on health topics such as teenage pregnancy, drug abuse, proper menstrual hygiene as well as their consequences on their lives amongst others. Ada Youngsters Charity Foundation fetes 320 children

  Ada Youngsters Charity Foundation has supported kids and young ones by having the Easter Love Feast and made its maiden donation exercise to the 320 children at Big-Ada, in Ada East District of the Greater Accra Region on Easter Sunday. The Ada Youngsters Charity Foundation donated items, such as exercise books, pens, pencils and erasers. The kids were also served food and drinks plus other goodies. Miss Antoinette Nacco Otumfuo and Mr. Emmanuel Teye Gbadah Wussah, founders of the charity group, said the mission of Ada Youngsters Charity Foundation is to help the young ones to excel in any good thing they wish to achieve. “The vision of the group is to guide, patch, motivate, inspire and equip the young ones with the norms and values that will guide their steps toward a brighter future,” Miss Otumfuo said. She added that everyone should come on board to help these kids to excel. Mr. Wussah also indicated that he believes in investing to develop the minds of young ones.  

Property owners urged to take up Fire Insurance - Commissioner

  Dr. Justice Yaw Ofori, Commissioner of Insurance, has re-echoed the need for property owners to take up Fire Insurance policies to protect their buildings. “Fire Insurance gives you much protection against any peril, as well as shields anyone who enters or uses your premises” he said. He noted that some individuals have a foot-dragging attitude when it comes to insurance policy, and such an attitude does not augur well: “Insurance is to guard you against risk”. “I would encourage owners of public buildings and their occupants to make compulsory Fire Insurance a part of their budget to safeguard lives and property,” he added Dr. Ofori was speaking at an annual interaction with about 70 journalists from different media houses across the country at Elmina in the Central Region.   The Queen Mother of Lashibi Traditional Area, Naa Aforkor Ojeagbo II, has treated the children of the Nungua Traditional Area township and the Nungua-Addogonno branch of Maranatha Power Ministries to a Special Thanksgiving Service to God Almighty and the ancestors of the land.
