Therestella is Young Female Achiever at the 5th Ghana Pharma Awards

 

Therestella Obosu Tei-Kwabla, CEO of Pacalin Pharmacy and Founder of Therestella’s Foundation has been awarded the Young Female Achiever at the 5th Ghana Pharma Awards which took place Friday 7th July, 2023 at the Kempinski Hotel - Accra.

Passionate about the educational welfare of children of school going age, the 33-year-old female certified pharmacist, who doubles as health educator has established child welfare foundation which seeks to educate them [school children] on health topics such as teenage pregnancy, drug abuse, proper menstrual hygiene as well as their consequences on their lives amongst others.

Commencing her child welfare foundation in May 2023, Therestella has been able to impact over 500 students. Regarding this, as a pharmacist vaccinator, she visits Tema General Hospital occasionally at their child welfare unit to educate the mothers who come for immunisation on topics such as importance of immunisation, adverse effects following immunisation, types of immunisations available in Ghana etc.

She has so far impacted over 300 mothers on health and educational welfare concerns of their children and expressed her commitment to further reach out to as many schools, children, youth and mothers as possible.

While dedicating the award to her late father, she expressed her gratitude to everyone who was part of her success story. 

Therestella, aside from impacting lives positively, has strong passion for personal growth. Her educational journey started at Tema Parents’ Association through to Holy Child Secondary High School (HOPSAN) – Cape Coast. She furthered her education at Central University.

The Ghana Pharma Awards is instituted to recognise individuals and companies that play a significant role in the growth and development of the industry while recognising the key functions within the industry that promote growth and sustainability. The awards cut across pharmaceutical agents, distributors, manufacturers, government agencies, insurance, financial institution and more.
