NIC holds workshop for branch managers



The National Insurance Commission (NIC) has held a workshop for branch managers, in a bid to improve insurance penetration in the country.

The workshop, among other things, aims to help managers align their strategies to conform to dynamic conditions and the environment in which they operate in.

At the event, participants were taken through efficient operational management and optimal marketing strategy via selling profitable products to meet sales target.

The workshop, held in Elmina in the Central Region, was organised in partnership with the Ghana Insurance College.

The three-day residential course held from 11th – 13th September, 2019 was fully sponsored by NIC.

Resource persons for the workshop included Michael Kofi Andoh, Deputy Commissioner of Insurance; Seth Eshun, Head of Supervision-National Insurance Commission; Michael Abbiw, CEO - MGA Consulting Ghana Ltd; and Solomon Twum Barima, Chief Operation Officer at GLICO General.
