Insurance practitioner installed as chief




The Oba of the Yorubas in Ghana, Oba Hamza Peregrino Brimah VIII, organised a colourful traditional ceremony conferring new titles on prominent Yoruba personalities in Ghana - who have distinguished themselves in their various fields of endeavour - on Sunday January 19th, 2020 at the forecourt of the State House in Accra.

The event was witnessed by the Vice President of the Republic of Ghana – Dr. Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia, the Ooni of Ife – Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi and many other  prominent personalities including Mr. Nii Lamptey Vanderpuye, Member of Parliament for Odododiodoo constituency, Mad. Sherry Ayitey, former Minister of Fisheries and Mr. Alfred Oko Vanderpuije, Member of Parliament for Ablekuma South Constituency.

David Alex-Duduyemi, a Chartered insurer and a law graduate who is Managing Director of IIB Insurance Brokers Limited, Ghana, was conferred with one of the highest ranking Chieftaincy titles as “Bobaselu of Oodua Kingdom, Ghana”. As the number one chief adviser to his Royal Majesty on governance issues.

About Chief David Alex-Duduyemi
He is a law graduate from the GIMPA Law School, a Chartered Insurer from the Chartered Insurance Institute, United Kingdom. He also holds an Executive MBA from the Paris Graduate school of Management and is a fellow of insurance with the Chartered Insurance Institute Ghana (CIIG).

Chief Alex-Duduyemi, a seasoned manager and administrator of many years, and in good standing, will bring his vast experience and knowledge as Nigerian in the diaspora to the service of his people. Being a son of the Source (Ile-Ife), H.I.M, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, the Ooni of Ife, The Ojaja II, personally performed the conferment on him which was witnessed by his father, The Asiwaju of the Source, Chief Oyekunle Alex-Duduyemi.
