RegencyNem clients laud digitisation

Clients of RegencyNem have given a thumbs-up to management and staff for introducing a USSD application that allows customers to buy third-party Motor Insurance from the comfort of their mobile phones.

Speaking to B&FT at the RegencyNem office at the 37 Drivers Vehicle Licencing Authority (DVLA) last week, the clients said it will ease their moving to RegencyNem offices for renewal when their insurance policies expire.

It will be recalled that RegencyNem, a fortnight ago, launched a USSD application that allows customers to buy Motor Insurance. Known as i-tranzakt, the product allows all new and existing customers, registered agents and brokers to buy or renew third-party motor policies without going to any of RegencyNem’s offices or branches.

At the launch, Lawrence Busola Omoya (Acting Managing Director of RegencyNem Insurance) pointed out that through this application insurance agents, brokers and retail clients can log-on to get insurance quotes, buy and renew their policies, make payments and report claims through the platform.

He said the company wanted to ensure that all its products and services were digitised, especially in this COVID-19 period - hence the introduction of i-tranzakt. Further commenting on the application, he pointed out that the short code for the i-tranzakt application is *714*47. All one has to do is just dial, purchase the motor insurance and print your motor electronic sticker and certificate to check validity of the policy.

“At this time, if you are not technology savvy you will be left behind.” In light of this, the company wants to leverage technology to increase its share of the market.

The i-tranzakt application, he says, is linked to the Motor Insurance Database (MID) that was recently introduced by the regulator, National Insurance Commission (NIC). This will eliminate any fake purchases and encourage customers to patronage the service.

“I can say with confidence that this product will increase our sales and productivity.”
