With more than two million cars sold globally, the New Renault Duster model boasts attractive exterior styling delivering a distinctly assertive and robust look. The car offers a high-quality, intuitively designed interior for a comfortable and user-friendly cabin experience.

Equipped with new driving aids and new equipment, the New Duster is a genuine SUV which is both versatile and comfortable for everyday driving, with the 4x4 derivative set to conquer the outdoors with ease.

The original Renault Duster was designed and engineered to adeptly master tough road conditions, but in a more modest form.  The Duster has proved to be extremely popular in the SA market with a remarkable 21,000+ units sold to date since its initial launch into the country back in 2013.

The New Renault Duster TechRoad builds on and reinforces the Duster’s existing strengths, but the renowned DNA of the Duster remains at the heart, i.e. an extremely capable SUV, which is tough, simple and reliable, yet very accessible based on the value proposition.

TOUGH RE-DEFINED

The New Renault Duster TechRoad’s robust and particularly assertive styling highlights its SUV pedigree.  Visually extremely muscular, the design tone is set by its aggressive lines, and expressive front and wide rear, heightening the impression of stability.  The Duster’s tough stance is emphasized by its bold, more horizontal lines, new 17” Diamond Cut wheels with striking blue caps ensuring a more assertive profile, prominent silver roof rails, and front and rear skid plates that support its adventurer credentials.  The chrome trim of the grille, alongside a raised waistline and the powerful

C-shaped light signature complete the powerful stance of the New Duster.

The TechRoad’s strong exterior is enhanced by distinctive bespoke badging, black shiny door mirrors and patterned stripping on the side doors, with the new Iron Blue colour bound to be a popular choice.

The New Renault Duster has impressive off-road capabilities evident by the class-leading ground clearance of 210mm, with noteworthy approach and departure angles of 30° high approach and 34° departure angles respectively, deeming it suitable for all terrain driving.

CLASS-LEADING SPACE AND COMFORT

The interior of the New Renault Duster TechRoad is superbly designed, marked by a spacious and passenger friendly cabin.  The upholstery features a high-quality finish, with blue trim detailing on the seats and striking blue design accents within the cabin.  Particular emphasis has been placed on the dashboard as well, presenting strong ergonomic design.

Optimised travelling comfort is ensured by the intuitively designed enveloping seats, with careful attention to the materials, fit and finish. Numerous clever stowage spaces are easily accessible with improved accessibility of controls, and amongst others, an enhanced Multimedia experience.

The New Duster also offers a modular interior layout to easily adapt to needs, with the rear bench seat featuring a 1/3 – 2/3 split-fold function, while the boot boasts best-in-class loading capacity of up to 478L.

IMPROVED QUALITY AND HIGH-END EQUIPMENT

The New Renault Duster offers a host of state-of-the-art equipment to facilitate stress-free everyday driving, including on-board GPS Navigation.  Now with Smartphone mirror compatibility, today’s top contenders are Apple’s CarPlay and Android Auto.

Each provides functionality off your phone’s system that runs on your car’s computer interface, allowing drivers and passengers to control music, navigate, and communicate by way of voice commands and the car’s manual controls.

In theory, better apps mean safer driving; if you don’t need to access your phone, you can better focus on driving.

Plus, the convenience of features such as Automatic Climate Control, Speed Limiter and Cruise Control functions provide superb driving support on the open road.

UNCOMPROMISED SAFETY

The New Duster offers a multitude of advanced active and passive safety technology as standard across the range, such as ABS [Anti-Lock Braking System] with EBD [Electronic Brake Distribution] in conjunction with EBA [Emergency Brake Assist], making it possible to maintain control over the trajectory in the event of heavy braking.

Rear Park Distance Control enables easier parking manoeuvres by warning the driver of obstacles situated behind the vehicle by a sequence of beeps which speed up the closer you are to them.  Hill Start Assist, triggered by taking one’s foot off the brake, takes over the vehicle by holding it steady for 2 seconds, allowing the driver to accelerate normally without stalling or rolling back.

POWERED TO GO FURTHER

The phenomenal New Renault Duster comes with two fuel options and three engine options. There is a choice between the 1.6L 16V and two versions of the incredible 1.5 dCi turbo engine.

With the Duster 1.5 dCi, driver confidence and comfort are brought to the fore.  The Diesel 1.5 dCi 4x2’s engine has outputs of 66kW and 210Nm and consumes from only 5.1L/100km.  The 4x2 EDC and 4x4 Manual versions have outputs of 80kW and 250Nm & 260Nm respectively, with consumption from only 4.8L/100km.

For greater comfort and pleasure, the 6-speed Dual-Clutch EDC Automatic gearbox is now available with the 1.5 dCi Diesel engine.  Upshifting is fast and smooth, with no jerking or loss in acceleration, with fuel consumption comparable to that of the Manual from only 4.8L/100km.

It’s certainly noteworthy that the Duster 1.5 dCi EDC 4x2 achieved top position in its class (Category C1 – Diesel Turbo 1300cc -2000cc) within the debut Wesbank Fuel Economy Challenge in November 2019.

PEACE OF MIND COMES STANDARD

As is standard across Renault’s entire product range, the New Renault Duster Model range comes standard with a 5-year/150 000km mechanical warranty and a 6-year anti-corrosion warranty. Services take place at 15 000km intervals, and a standard 3-year/45000km service plan applies.

The New Renault Duster TechRoad certainly has a bold personality, both inside and out, making the Renault Duster range even better equipped to be a strong contender in the compact SUV market.
