Yvonne Nduom named Best Woman Entrepreneur



Senior Vice President of Groupe Nduom, Yvonne Nduom has been named the Best Woman Entrepreneur of the Year 2017. The Award is bestowed on a successful entrepreneur who has demonstrated entrepreneurial vision, business excellence and innovation.
Mrs. Nduom was chosen from a short-list of other highly qualified Ghanaian private sector practitioners by the Entrepreneurs Foundation, organisers of the Ghana Entrepreneur & Corporate Executive Awards 2018.
The Ghana Entrepreneur & Corporate Executive Awards 2018 is an initiative of the Entrepreneurs Foundation of Ghana in sponsorship partnership with Omnibank and endorsed by the Ministry of Trade and Industry.

Award winners would be honoured at a gala dinner scheduled for Saturday, April 28, 2018 at the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel in Accra with the President of the Republic, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo as the special guest of honour.

Ghana Re pays GH¢9m to government

Government attributed and commended the strong performance of Ghana Reinsurance Company to the Board, Management and Staff of the company at its 17 th Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Accra last week. Ghana Re announced a group composite (life and general business) gross premium income for 2019 of GH¢253.37m compared to the GH¢205.66m recorded in 2018, representing a growth rate of 23.2%. However, a breakdown of the group shows that general business premium income recorded in 2019 was GH¢230.85m, while life premium income stood at GH¢22.52m. 12 Africa countries to participate in Ghana Re International seminar

Sixty-five participants from 12 African countries have confirmed their participation in the 14 th edition of Ghana Reinsurance Company’s Annual International Seminar. The seminar is scheduled to take place at Ho from February 23 – 29, 2020 under the theme ‘Reinsurance - Principles, Practice and Benefits’. Interestingly, the North African state of Sudan - an old business partner of Ghana Re - is topping the roll call of participants apart from the host country Ghana, which will be sending 30 participants.
