Rex Omar celebrates fathers


Back again virtuoso artiste Rex Omar is preparing to release his next single entitled “Paapa” on June 15 ahead of this year’s Father’s Day celebration which falls on Sunday, June 17. The single is a groovy dance version of the song he released in May, 2015 and he co-produced it with ace producer Appietus.

According to the hit maker, he decided to release the dance version of “Paapa” due to the numerous requests he had received for a danceable version of the catchy song he released as a paean to fathers. Rex Omar who took a break from the performing scene says his decision to release the dance version of the song is also to drive home the fact that fathers deserve to be celebrated as much as mothers.

Rex also says “On my return to the scene, I promised my fans and music lovers that I will release a single every month and I have no option than to deliver on my promise.” He assured his numerous fans and music lovers that he has a stock of great music recording and he is still in the studios working on new material.

So far, Rex has released two singles, “Nhyira” featuring new wave artiste Trigmatic and “Highlife Agogo”. Both songs are enjoying massive airplay around the country and picking up views on YouTube for the “Nhyira” music video which is an exciting kaleidoscope of color and sound.

Rex Omar, aka as Rex Owusu Marfo is the current chairman of the Ghana Music Rights Organization (GHAMRO) and has a string of hits like “Abiba”, “Dangerous” and “Akwadaa Kitikiti” to his credit. He was also a member of the amazing group Nakorex along with Akosua Agyepong and Amandzeba.
