said the week-long commemoration of the CR&S Week underpins the bank’s
brand promise to always put stakeholders’ first in all its activities.
Mr.
Odeyemi emphasized the fact that FBNBank was deeply touched by the needs of the
Accra Psychiatric Hospital adding that as a caring and responsible corporate
citizen, Management of the bank chose to provide food items such as bags of
rice, gari, beans, maize, sugar, cooking oil, palm oil, drinking water, soap
and other essential household items to the patients of the health facility.
Beatrice
Nyarko, Deputy Head, Nursing Services at the Accra Psychiatric Hospital thanked
the bank for the support and urged other corporate bodies to come to the aid of
the hospital.
“We are
very happy to see the bank come to our aid. The quick response is laudable. We
spoke to them in less than a month and today look at what they have brought. We
will put these items to the best of use and the patients here will be the
beneficiaries of this bank’s benevolence,” she added.
She urged
the bank to come support the hospital’s fundraising dinner scheduled to come
off on July 6th at the Police Social and Wellness Centre to raise
funds to refurbish the forensic ward which houses patients from the courts.
“We are
hoping to raise about GH¢160,000 to refurbish the facility. The place is a mess
and overcrowded and needs immediate attention. It used to be safest ward but
now it is the worst,” she pointed.
