Corpnation Foundation launches annual “Community Hype” event

The Maiden edition of the “CorpNation Foundation Community hype” event was launched at the Takoradi Mall on the 3rd and 4th of December, 2021. The two-day event is an initiative of CorpNation Foundation and was under the theme “collectively projecting the good and addressing challenges in our communities”. It brought together representatives of several communities in the Sekondi-Takoradi metropolis to project their communities and make a case for them.

Welcoming guests to the event, the CEO of CorpNation Foundation, Saviour Kwaku Adzika, popularly called Corp Sayvee, revealed that several local communities in the Western Region have unique stories and challenges thus the objective of the community hype event is to provide a platform for dialogue and partnership, to showcase the uniqueness of each community.

“Through this annual community hype event, it is our belief that local traditional and political leaders will collaborate and work together to achieve greater benefits for their citizens”, he said. He promised the commitment of the CorpNation Foundation to support regular dialogues for the benefit of youth and the communities.

A mentorship and career development seminar, titled “Entreprenuership and Hand Skills Development” was held on Day-1 of the programme. Participants included members of the Corpnation foundation’s 12 Corporate Youth Clubs, and children from the Father’s Home Care Ministries and the Egyam Children’s homes. Resource persons were Jumic Emma Anderson, a multiple-award-winning filmmaker and an African Movie Academy Award Nominee; Kofi Cephas, award winning social media marketer and co-owner of www.Ghgossips.com. The rest are CEO of Caddy’s Sleek Touch, Cadlin, a celebrity stylist; Michael Asante Saforo, manager of Duapa Werkspace; Tailor Rahim, a celebrity fashion designer and Emmanuella Aguiar, Co-founder of Ahwenepa Essentials, dealers in organic beauty products.

Participants learnt that the key for a successful business start-up is a good plan, not money. They also had an opportunity to register for one-on-one engagements with the resources persons.

The second day of the event began with a float through the principal streets of Takoradi. At a concert organized to climax the two-day event, ten Assemblymen and representatives of various professional Associations had an opportunity to promote their communities and businesses.

In brief remarks to the gathering, Mr. Ato Van Ess, Chairman of the Sekondi-Takoradi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and President of the Ghana Basketball Association implored participants to collaborate and work as a team to fast track growth and development.

Navah - the reigning Western Music Awards artist of the Year, Bobo DadaBee, Origee, Alee, Ibu Sika, Aya Ramzyb and Corp Sayvee thrilled the crowd.



CorpNation Foundation (CNF) is a not-for-profit-youth-based development organization that aims at achieving comprehensive youth and sustainable development. This it believes will be achieved through the provision of services, programs and projects to improve the general wellbeing and economic standing of the youth. CorpNation supports formal, vocational and entrepreneurial training, mentorship and guidance services.
