Okor Waves holds health walk in Kasseh

Ms. Catherine Dela Dzivenu addressing executives of various Keep-Fit clubs at the event

As part of Okor Waves’ unfolding initiatives to transform and illuminate development in Ada, under the leadership of Ms. Catherine Dela Dzivenu, a one-day health walk was held in Kasseh in the Ada East district in the Greater Accra Region.
On Monday, 2nd of July, 2018 which was a holiday marking the Republic Day of Ghana, communities around Kasseh gathered to help promote healthy living which also featured football games among others as part of measures to foster peace among the communities.
The event brought together aged and youths to discuss sustainable ways of boosting the development in Ada communities.
Philanthropist, entrepreneur and lead patron of Okor Waves group, Ms. Catherine Dela addressed the gathering saying: “the decision to hold the health walk and games is to equip the various communities around Kasseh and Tamatoku with mental development and good health in their society plus the necessary need to impact knowledge needed to effectively grow Ada as a whole.”
She further added that the communities remain a good habitat for tourism to a large extent and under developing this sector could be responsible for the downward trend development the area has been experiencing. She concluded “will help improve the contribution of tourism to the development portfolio of Kasseh and its environs.”
Okor Waves has positioned itself at the fore-front to serve the communities at the Ada East district and beyond and interactions like what happened on Monday will not only boost the Ada area but trigger development in the Greater Accra region as a whole.
