Papaye Fast Food opens new Kaneshie-Awudome branch

Papaye Fast Food Limited, a leading fast-food chain in the country, has officially opened a new branch at the Kaneshie- Awudome roundabout.

The opening event, which happened at the new branch’s forecourt, was honoured by the Deputy Minister of Greater Accra Region, Mrs. Elizabeth Sackey, representatives from the Ghana Tourism Authority and Ministry of Tourism, as well as some corporate organisations.

The Chief Executive Officer-Papaya Ltd., Divine K. Asiedu, said opening the Awudome branch means Papaye now has six operational outlets from its 28 years of existence in Ghana.

"Papaye wants to assure its customers and everyone within this vicinity that it will continue serving the best tasty food without compromising on its hospitality, comfortability and affordability principles."

Executive Chairman-Papaye, Dr. Samir Kalmoni said: "The vision of Papaye is to be the brand leader in the integrated hospitality industry of Ghana. As such, Papaye now employs over 500 people with six branches, has a customer base of over a million, and a proper management structure spearheaded by a board of directors.

"It has taken Papaye 25 years of careful planning, researching, negotiation and hard work to get to this point."

Dr. Kalmoni further indicated that before the end of second quarter 2019, Papaye will outdoor yet another branch at Haatso-Atomic.

The CEO-Ghana Tourism Authority, Akwasi Agyeman, in a speech read on his behalf by Agnes Ohene expressed satisfaction with the high standards Papaye has maintained in the hospitality industry - which is in line with its core values such as excellence, integrity, service and diversity.

Deputy Minister-Greater Accra, Elizabeth Sackey, commended management of Papaye for creating jobs for the youth and helping build a strong hospitality industry in Ghana.

"Government will continue to create the necessary convenient business environment that enables the private sector to keep flourishing in the country.

“The president perceives industrialisation and the hospitality industry as core in building Ghana's economy, and will do everything in hiss power to ensure continuous growth in these sectors," she said.



Papaya has branches in Osu, Spintex, Tesano/Apenkwa, Tema Abeka-Lapez. and now Awudome which will serve people around Abossey Okai, Odorkor, Bubuashie and suburbs of Kaneshie.
