Samsung unveils flagship devices for new decade

Samsung Mobile has unveiled a range of new mobile devices at an event in Accra dubbed Unpacked 2020.
The new devices including the S20, Z Flip and Galaxy Buds+ are the company’s top phones for the new decade.
The phones were officially unveiled by MD for Samsung Ghana, Eugene Nahm, with the support of actress Jocelyn Dumas and Kidi, a musician.
Joining a live stream of the event, which was shot entirely on the S20 range, attendees were left impressed by the demonstration of the qualities of the new high end devices.
S20 Range
The base model, the S20 comes with a 6.2 inch QHD+ display, 128GB of storage, expandable by 128GB via an SD card and a 64MP main camera. The S20+ is decked with 6.7 inch QHD+ screen and 128/256/512GB of storage options.
Both are available in 4G and 5G variants.  The top of the range S20 Ultra comes with a massive 6.9 inch QHD+ display, and the possibility of a 1.5TB of storage plus a whopping 108MP main camera with a 100x super resolution zoom (Space Zoom), ensuring objects can be zoomed in without loss of much detail.
All phones seamlessly a combine the best of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things, and 5G technologies, which promises to give consumers a worthwhile experience,  with TM Roh, Samsung’s President of Mobile Communications describing this as “the year of 5G”.
All models are able to record videos in 8K resolution.
Z Flip
After smartphone designs seemed to have peaked with rectangular slabs of glass, metal and plastic, questions were asked if there was any room for innovation. Samsung responded last year by unveiling the first foldable phone, the Samsung Galaxy Fold.
The company has once again outdone the market by introducing a clamshell, a folding glass device reminiscent of phones from the mid-2000s.
The devices come with advanced Google, Youtube and Netflix features, among others.
Galaxy Buds+
The Samsung Galaxy Buds+ which features sound by AKG, 2-way dynamic speakers; 3 mics for unparalleled sound and voice quality; and an incredibly long battery life—up to 11 hours, is also iOS compatible. This is to enable users to enjoy great audio experience.
According to Samsung, the devices will be available for pre-order from February 21, 2020.
